One of my favorite projects that my team works on is OpenRemote. I geek out on this stuff:

• It is Open Source
• There is a risk of electrocution!
• It involves hardware
• Native mobile phone development
• We get to work with some of my old friends from the original JBoss team

What could I not love about that? So our office construction is fortunately done. We will have beer and pizza. We'll be talking generally about Open Remote and home automation. We'll also be covering how we integrated one particular device or class of devices into Open Remote. We'll of course cover our ongoing Android development on Open Remote. A man of meager ambitions, I've always wanted Bill Gate's house.

We are doing a lot of heavy mobile development. One of the big things that distinguishes us from most other folks doing mobile development is that we have the hard-core highly functional interactive application development experience. We know how to scale apps from mom and pop to the major global retailer. In short, we're not just doing "mobile presence app" development but involved highly functional and scalable mobile applications.
